What we collect

When you submit a request: name, phone, email, ZIP, optional address, service details, whether you own the home, your consent record (checkbox, timestamp, consent text, page URL) and basic technical data (IP address, browser) collected by our form provider. From contractors: business, license and insurance details.

How we use and share it

We use your request to match you with one independent HVAC contractor and send that contractor your details so they can contact you. That contractor pays us a referral fee for the referral, so this sharing is a disclosed part of the service. We also share data with service providers that run the service (form processing such as Formspree, email such as Gmail, spreadsheets such as Google Sheets, hosting such as Cloudflare, payments such as Stripe for contractors), and when required by law. We do not share your request with additional contractors unless you ask us to rematch you, and we do not sell it to data brokers.

Calls and texts

We and the matched contractor contact you only with your consent. Opt out of texts by replying STOP, or email hvacmatchers@gmail.com. Once a contractor has your details, its own privacy practices apply to its use of them.

Retention and your choices

We keep request records, including consent records, as long as needed for the service and legal compliance (generally up to 5 years for consent records). You may ask to access, correct or delete your information by emailing hvacmatchers@gmail.com; we will also ask the matched contractor to delete it where we can, but we cannot control their records.

Security and children

We use reasonable safeguards but no system is perfectly secure. The service is not for anyone under 18.
